Zatu Games, the biggest independent games retailer in the UK, have expanded their operations with a brand new 32,000 sq ft warehouse operating as a fulfillment and distribution center. The new warehouse has already been put to work helping the retail giant process Waterstone exclusive titles such as KELP and Kinfire for the UK Games Expo, the biggest board game convention in the UK.
Head of Business Development at Zatu Games, Dominic Martin, said “This building is perfect for us, with good access and plenty of room for us to create a really efficient fulfillment and distribution centre.” He continued with, “Expanding our fulfillment operation has been key to our growth as a brand and now with expansion to our distribution arm too, we need the space to facilitate this.”
We caught up with Zatu’s Head of Distribution who has been building upon the company’s publisher/supplier partnerships, helping shape a range of titles to not just bring more games than ever to the UK but focus on their new core objective to support physical stores from independent to national level retail. He added, “The additional warehouse is giving us the opportunity to continue Zatu’s growth but to expand operations now to support the distribution developments.”
The launch of the new 32,000 sq ft warehouse is a clear commitment to the future of the board game retail space across the UK, one where Zatu Games is set to play a pivotal role, not only as a seller, but as a key distribution partner within the industry.
